It is a series that explores a simple light aesthetic as much as possible based on the Windsor chair. Awase has a combination of west and east cultural elements, new values combined with the past. We wished to incorporate Awase, the idea of partnering opposites in this series.

Hisae is involved in many commercial spaces such as TSUMORI CHISATO and Maturitate (shop) and local industry furniture development.
Enrolled at Kuramata Design Office from 1986 to 1991, and established Igarashi Design Studio in 1993. Mainly engaged in space design for commercial facilities and nursery schools etc., and three-dimensional design of furniture, products, and playground equipment, and is developing progressive design in the categories of “Clothing, Food, Living, Working, and Childcare”. Member of the jury for the Good Design Award and the Kids Design Award, and professor at the Department of Scenography, Space and Fashion Design, Musashino Art University.
